Product Manager – Antibodies & Reagents

Location: Office based in Oxford

The Requirements of the Product Manager:

• You will have as a minimum 2 years of experience in a Product Management/Marketing focused role working for a reagents/antibodies life science/diagnostics company or in a related field

• To be successful in the position of Product Manager you must be educated to a minimum BSc degree level or equivalent in a Life Science discipline, preferably in a Biological science discipline such as: Biomedical Science, Immunology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Virology, Molecular Biology or Cell Biology

• You will Ideally have a professional Marketing qualification such as a CIM course however this is not essential

• Experience and track record of bringing successful products to market in the Life Sciences industry

• Experience in a customer facing role is highly desirable such as: Business Development/Field Sales/Account Management

• Experience of procurement/supply of reagent materials in bulk quantities would be an advantage

• Ability to identify market opportunities & also champion these opportunities and produce business plans for internal review

• Project Management experience is desirable

The Role of the Product Manager:

• Within the role of the Product Manger you will be working alongside the Custom Antibody team and will be responsible for the delivery of service and bulk catalogue product services to include antibodies & reagents that supports the company’s strategies and goals

• Deliver on plans, through the organisation and management of assigned responsibilities from conceptual stages through product & service life cycle, to optimize profit and meet market, financial and growth objectives

• Increases sales, identify opportunities and improvements and create effective marketing campaigns and provide sales and training support

• Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to audit the existing services and product offering

• Determine existing and new value; including evaluation of positioning, pricing, supply, manufacturing and discontinuation of unprofitable or obsolete products and services

• Translate customer needs, market trends, technology developments and competitor capabilities into cohesive service and portfolio strategies. Deliver a business plan in support of market requirements, fully aligned to the clients business planning process

• Deliver reasoned product and service development justifications and buy/build decisions. Interface with the marketing, sales, operations and manufacturing teams to deliver products and services that meet the required specifications

• Launch products and services into the market through all available channels, including e-commerce routes. Define and execute go-to-market strategies, considering positioning, price, licensing and contracts, internal training needs and collateral materials. This will require working closely with stakeholders across the company
