Griffiths and Nielsen is a medical device company which was established in 1974 by Graham Griffiths and Bent Nielsen. We initially sold laboratory consumables such as petri dishes, pipettes and containers. During the 1980s and 1990s we expanded our product range to include clinical waste containers that comply with UN standards. By the early 2000s we had been taken over by Graham’s son Giles, incorporated anti-embolism stockings into our product range and acquired ISO certification.

In 2014 we launched our first cardiothoracic medical device ThorAcc® and acquired BracePlus™, a sternal support band.
