Peak Proteins is a growing business based in the bioscience campus at Alderley Park, Cheshire. Peak Proteins has significant expertise in all aspects of protein expression and X-ray crystallography, from the design of proteins suitable for crystallisation through to the delivery and interpretation of X-ray crystallography data to drive medicinal chemistry. Within the team are a number of highly experienced PhD qualified staff who can express and purify proteins from E.coli, insect and mammalian cell hosts, conduct protein crystallisation using robotics for the set up and analysis of thousands of conditions, and access external synchrotron radiation sources to solve protein crystal structures, particularly in the presence of ligands. Their experience has largely been gained within the pharmaceutical industry over many years of intimate involvement with the drug discovery process, and is further evidenced by a strong track record of publication, often in high impact journals.
