Machine Vision offers fantastic possibilities – but how to translate the almost endless configurations into a system which is targeted at your application and which will offer accurate and repeatable results over time.
As with an experiment the first step is always to clearly define the information which is to be extracted from the image. This directly impacts upon the correct selection of camera, lighting unit (wavelength & geometry), optics and software.
