The talk will consider the challenges for early stage investors in making investments in early stage drug discovery projects and why it has been very difficult in the UK at least for them to be successful. However, there is great science in the UK and Europe and the talk will discuss potential solutions in how early stage VC investors might invest in the early stage projects. The talk will use the CRT Pioneer Fund as an example of how VC money can be invested in ways that both help advance the drug discovery process and provide potential returns for investors that avoid the earlier discussed pitfalls.
