Stem cells are becoming increasingly important tools in drug discovery research programmes and allow researchers to assess both small and large molecules in more physiologically relevant disease models. Their increased use in HCS, and adoption into HTS technologies has resulted in the need to increase the scale of stem cell production as well as creation of stem cell banks to support future research ctivities. This poster llustrates how a variety of stem cells can be grown on an automated cell culture system utilising traditional T-flasks and that automation of cryovial filling can result in cell banks of higher quality than achieved using manual cell culture techniques.
