In order to avoid late and expensive attrition rate due to toxicity side effects, early assays are mandatory. High content analysis has the advantage to enable multiplexing: one assay allows the analysis of several read-outs. Despite its lack of several normal hepatocytes fonctions, HepG2 in 2D or 3D culture can be used with advantages in some cases. Cell viability, genotoxicity as well as cholestasis, steatosis and phospholipidosis assays will be described and discussed in this poster.
