Discussion

Flow cytometry has been a powerful tool to study the function of immune cells at both the population and single cell level but has been under-utilised for drug discovery over the last few decades. At UCB we have developed a bespoke screening platform that has automated both the assay and data acquisition required to perform high-throughput flow cytometry experiments. Using our system we can handle up to forty two 384 well plates with walk away capability. This talk will describe our approach and the different types of assay we can run using our platform. It will also highlight future directions and the challenge of integration of this assay platform into the drug discovery screening process.
