Abstract

Science drives therapeutic intervention and the Pharmaceutical Industry depends on the academic research to fill its pipeline. Relationships between academia and pharma should be fostered and promoted. The talk will give examples of research on Chromatin and RNA modifications that has lead to the identification of new therapeutic targets and clinical drug trials in collaboration with Pharma/Biotech. It will also showcase the Milner Therapeutic Institute, a new model for academic/pharma partnering at the University of Cambridge
