Standardisation efforts are only helpful if there is a wide selection of instruments supporting the standard. The purpose of the SiLA 2 open source initiative is to accelerate the adoption through 3rd party developed drivers for legacy instruments while reducing the cost of SiLA 2 adoption. This will result in a driver repository that is free for everyone to use, review and contribute.
