Profile of Mr Andrew Harrison
Qualified: Liverpool University (1988). Institution/Practice: Three Counties Equine Hospital, Gloucestershire, UK. Career: Joined Three Counties Equine Hospital in 1993. Andrew is involved in equine veterinary nurse education and is a registered examiner with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in Equine Veterinary Nursing. He has also recently been appointed by the RCVS as an examiner for the Certificate in Equine Practice. He has organised and lectured at several anaesthesia courses on behalf of BEVA (British Equine Veterinary Association) and is a BEVA Council Member. He is the Senior Veterinary Surgeon for Worcester racecourse.
Interests: His particular interests are veterinary anaesthesia, internal medicine and echo-cardiography. He has been awarded the RCVS Certificates in both Equine Practice and Veterinary Anaesthesia. Outside the practice, Andrew enjoys distance running, and competes regularly in fell races and mountain marathons.
