Mr David Calvo

David is a Principal Scientist and Program Leader in GSK’s Molecular Discovery Research (MDR) team which aim is to identify and validate targets for new medicines.
He is a technically skilled biochemist with +13 years experience in pharma industry with proven performance in the early-stage drug discovery process. His role as Program Leader draws on his expertise in these areas, providing innovative solutions for biochemical, cellular and phenotypic assays in multiple therapeutic areas. His scientific background includes Epigenetics, Biotransformations and Enzymological characterization of targets.
David’s current interests focus on drug discovery collaborations with world-leading academic researchers as part of the DPAc initiative
