Profile of Dr John Gilleard

Research Activities:
“Our main research interest is focused on understanding the molecular basis of drug resistance in parasites and in the identification of novel drug targets. We undertake genomic and genetic approaches in parasitic nematodes as well as functional studies in the free-living nematode Caenorhabditis elegans as a model system. The lab also has projects involving the population genomics, molecular epidemiology and molecular diagnostics of parasitic nematodes. Please visit the lab web page for further details”.

Research Areas:
Genomics Proteomics and Bioinformatics
Molecular and Development Genetics
