Profile of Timothy Barnett
Tim qualified from Edinburgh University in 2005 and initially worked in general practice in East Yorkshire. In 2007 he joined Rossdales Diagnostic Centre (RDC) as orthopaedic assistant to Marcus Head. An 18-month position (internship) at Rossdales Equine Hospital (REH) followed, where Tim gained broad experience dealing with horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes. After a further period of general practice, Tim moved to Edinburgh University in January 2010, where he completed a three year residency in Equine Surgery. The residency has provided Tim with training in all areas of lameness, dentistry and equine surgery and lameness and was co-supervised by REH. Tim has completed a number of research projects in equine upper airway disease and dentistry during this time, and along with orthopaedics, he is particularly interested in these areas of equine practice.
