Bettina Dunkel

Bettina graduated from The Free University of Berlin in 2001 and then completed the Dorothy Havemeyer fellowship at Tufts University. After a rotating equine internship at the Marion duPont Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Virginia, Bettina undertook a large animal internal medicine and emergency and critical care residency (alternate track) at the University of Pennsylvania . Bettina then gained her PhD, focusing on equine platelet and neutrophil function, from the University of London in 2008. Since then she has been employed as a Lecturer and the Senior Lecturer in equine medicine at the Royal Veterinary College.
