Profile of Dr Gayle Hallowell
Following graduation, Gayle undertook a rotating equine internship and an equine medicine and critical care residency at the Royal Veterinary College. She completed a short period undertaking cross-species anaesthesia at the RVC and stayed as a Temporary Lecturer in Equine Internal Medicine at the RVC at the end of her residency. She then completed a PhD in equine cardiology studying aortic valve prolapse at the University of Nottingham. She is currently Sub-dean for CE and Associate Professor in Large Animal Internal Medicine and Critical Care. She is an RCVS Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Colleges of both Veterinary Internal Medicine and Emergency and Critical Care – large animal and Associate Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
