Profile of Paul Jepson
Paul graduated from Liverpool in 1972 and worked in mixed practice in the Midlands and New Forest before starting a horse orientated practice on the North Wales Coast in 1975. He sold the practice in 1977 and joined the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, serving around the world including Northern Ireland, the Middle and Far East. Paul was appointed Defence Director of Veterinary and Remount Services and Honorary Veterinary Surgeon to HM The Queen in 1994. He retired from the Army in 1997 and assumed current appointment of Chief executive and Veterinary Director of the oldest horse welfare organisation in the world known at the time as The Home of Rest for Horses which became The Horse Trust in 2007. Paul is the current President of the British Equine Veterinary Association Interests: Paul is interested in the promotion of horse health and welfare through the application of science and education and the science of farriery and raising standards in the craft.
