Profile of Tim Mair
Tim graduated from the University of Bristol in 1980. Following two years in general practice he returned to Bristol to undertake research into equine mucosal immunology. He obtained a PhD in 1986 and then stayed at the Bristol Veterinary School as a lecturer in equine internal medicine. He returned to equine practice in 1989, and is currently a partner at the Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic in Kent. He has two RCVS Diplomas (in Equine Internal Medicine and Equine Soft Tissue Surgery) and is a diplomate of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine. He is also an associate member of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. He is editor of Equine Veterinary Education.
