Profile of Rebecca Parkes

Following graduation Rebecca undertook an internship in equine orthopaedics at the Animal Health Trust working for Sue Dyson. She then spent a short period of time locuming before spending six months volunteering for the charity Animal Care in Egypt (ACE), based in Luxor. She is currently undertaking an HBLB funded PhD at the RVC entitled ‘Intrinsic and extrinsic factors affecting the loading environment of the equine distal limb’.
Other interests: Rebecca is interested in equine welfare and is a trustee for TAWS (the World Association for Transport Animal Welfare and Studies).
