Profile of Rachel Garlish
Rachel Garlish graduated from the University of Exeter with a joint BSc in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry and a PhD under the supervision of Graham Sewell and Stanley Roberts. Following this, she took up a Post Doctoral Fellowship with George Pettit at the Cancer Research Institute at Arizona State University (USA) where she worked on the discovery of natural products as cancer therapeutics. She has since worked for Wyeth in New York as a Senior Scientist in the Discovery Analytical Chemistry Department, for Waters as a Principal Field Applications Specialist responsible for the New York and New Jersey territory and most recently as a Senior Principal Scientist leading the Research Mass Spectrometry and Separations teams in New Medicines at UCB.
