Profile of Jonathan Wingfield
Jonathan joined AZ in 2000 as part of the Oncology group, main role to deploy automation to support project screening. After several years rolling out automation, was provided the opportunity to establish a centralised biochemical screening group. A key aspect of delivering this centralised capability was the integration of a LIMS platform to support the team. This LIMS project won the 2008 Microscoft Innovation in Pharma award. Acoustic technology has been widely used within AstraZeneca over the past 8-10 years to support compound supply and improve the quality of screening. Since 2013, working together with mass spectrometry colleagues we started the acoustic MS project to build a high throughput MS platform. The development of the prototype system won the SLAS Innovation award in 2015. Whilst still learning about mass spectrometry I bring 20 years of screening and automation experience to the project.
