Dr Sian Mitchell

Sian is a veterinary surgeon with over 10 years experience in general practice in the UK,and has been employed by APHA, an agency of Defra since 2001. She is a RCVS recognised specialist in veterinary parasitology, and a diplomate of both the European Veterinary Parasitology College (EVPC) and European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM).

Sian was appointed discipline champion for parasitology in APHA in 2014. She is also a committee member of the SCOPS (Sustainable Control of Parasites in Sheep) industry led body.
