Profile of Seyed-Mahdi Khaligh-Razavi
Dr Seyed Khaligh-Razavi is a computational neuroscientist and entrepreneur. He is co-founder and chief scientific officer at Cognetivity ltd, UK, a young company dedicated to early diagnosis of dementia. With a background in computer science and machine learning, he completed his PhD at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge University , studying visual object recognition in human and machine, using multimodal brain imaging techniques and computational modelling. After that he became a postdoctoral researcher at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), further studying the human brain in health and disease. During this time, he was also affiliated with Harvard Catalyst (The Harvard University Clinical and Translational Science Centre), where he has worked on medical device development.
