Profile of Mr Mark Senior

Qualified: Liverpool. Institution/Practice: Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital, School of Veterinary Science, University of Liverpool, Leahurst Campus, Neston, South Wirral CH64 7TE, UK. Career: After graduating in 1997, Mark worked in a large mixed practice for 2 years before undertaking a Residency in veterinary anaesthesia at Liverpool. Mark gained his CertVA in 2000 and his DipECVAA in 2004. In 2008 he completed his PhD studies in endotoxaemia in horses. Mark is currently Head of Anaesthesia at Liverpool and leads a team of 11 dedicated anaesthetists providing a clinical service to the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital, the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, and the Farm Animal Hospital. Interests: Mark's research interests include peri-operative morbidities and mortalities, pain, inflammation and the innate immune response.
