Stefan Offermanns

Biog:
Stefan Offermanns held the Chair of Pharmacology at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) from 2000 to 2009. Since 2008 he is director at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research (Bad Nauheim, Germany) and a professor at the Goethe University, Frankfurt. He has combined basic science with clinically oriented research to study the role of various receptor systems and downstream signaling mechanisms in the cardiovascular and metabolic system as well as in cancer.
