David Gilham

Biog:
Dr Gilham currently leads a research group focused upon developing immune cell therapies for cancer and has been working for >15 years with Professor Robert Hawkins who is the clinical lead and Head of Medical Oncology, Christie Hospital to deliver these novel therapies into the clinic. Phase I/II clinical trials testing CAR T-cells against B-cell lymphoma and gastro-intestinal tumours have been performed by the group and we have developed a cell production unit (Cellular Therapeutics) to enable the delivery of further trials of cell therapy including tumour infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) and gene-modified T-cell therapy of melanoma.
