Profile of Viola Borgdorff
Viola Borgdorff is a Research Fellow at The University of Nottingham, working in the group of Professor Chris Denning at the Department of Stem Cells, Tissue Engineering and Modelling (STEM). She received her PhD from the University of Leiden, for her work on the role of DNA mismatch repair in the cellular response to genotoxic agents. This was followed by postdoctoral work at the University of London and the Medical University of Vienna, where she screened for oncogenic/ tumour suppressor pathways using human cellular models of (pre-) cancerous lesions.
