Chris Torrance

Dr Chris Torrance is CEO of PhoreMost Ltd; a company he founded with Ashok Venkitaraman in 2014 to systematically de-orphan key disease-driving targets currently considered undruggable by the pharma-industry. Dr Torrance previously founded Horizon Discovery; a biotech company developing and exploiting genetically-defined human disease models for personalized medicine research and drug discovery. Horizon listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2014 and received the Queens Award for International Trade in 2012. Prior to Horizon, Dr Torrance was Head of Oncology at the UK Biotechnology company Vernalis PLC (LSE: VER), where he was responsible for progressing several novel kinase oncology programs.
