Profile of Christian Dillon

Christian has gained extensive drug discovery research experience over the last decade leading a broad range of projects from early target validation through to lead optimisation. In his current role, Christian has overseen a cross-functional team that has successfully delivered a candidate drug, and has also led a multi-project alliance on the DNA Damage Response with Teva Pharmaceuticals. His immediate research ambitions focus on seeing these projects progress to clinical development. More broadly, Christian has a strong interest in reducing novel target attrition rates within early stage drug discovery.

Christian obtained his first degree in Biology from Imperial College, and undertook his doctoral studies at the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute in the laboratory of Dr. Clive Dickson. He received his PhD from University College London in 2002 and went on to complete his postdoctoral research at the Medical Research Council Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology before joining CRT in 2005.
