Dan Teufel

Dr Teufel has over 15 years of experience in the field of peptide/protein chemistry and biophysics, has authored numerous publications in well-known journals and is an inventor in 8 patents. He has earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, using extensively modified peptides to decipher the molecular interplay between the tumour suppressor p53 and its regulator p300/CBP. Later, he worked with one of the founders of Bicycle Therapeutics, Sir Gregory Winter, on the early Bicycle Project. After the establishment of Bicycle Therapeutics in 2009, he joined the Company as the leading chemist, building up the peptide chemistry of the Bicycle Therapeutics platform from its foundation. He is currently developing several Bicyclic candidates towards potential application in the clinic, including toxin-linked conjugates.
