Tim Hammonds

Tim is Deputy Director of Drug Discovery at CRUK Therapeutic Discovery Laboratories (TDL), a CRUK drug discovery unit with a focus on establishing and prosecuting themed multi-project alliances between Academia and Industry. Tim has strategic responsibility for the design, planning, negotiation and management of multi-site Academia-Industry alliances. During his 19 years at CRT, Tim has been central to establishing and managing the small molecule drug discovery capabilities, including building and running HTS, compound management, compound profiling and protein production. Tim joined TDL in 1999 after 5 years postdoctoral enzymology research at the University of Leicester. He has a degree in Pharmacy and a PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry and microbiology from the University of Nottingham.
