Dr Chantal Bazenet

I am a cell biologist with more than 20 years experience of drug discovery and biomarker research in both academic and pharmaceutical settings. I started my career at EISAI London Research Laboratories, first developing cell-based assays for drug discovery in Alzheimer's disease and later in biomarker research supporting preclinical to early clinical programmes.
I have a long-standing interest in identifying and quantifying biofluids biomarkers following progression of neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation using a variety of technical platforms (immuno assays, quantitative mass spectrometry). I joined Evotec in 2014 and have been working with and developing highly sensitive assays to quantify biomarkers in preclinical animal and cellular models as well as assays for biomarkers present in human biofuids (CSF, plasma).
