Prof Bernadette Byrne

Bernadette Byrne is Professor at Imperial College London. Over two decades her research has focused on understanding integral membrane proteins at a molecular level. This has involved both detailed structural and biochemical analysis of proteins using a variety of techniques and also development of novel methodologies and approaches to allow exploration of membrane proteins. The main focus of her research is secondary active transporters but she also works on G-protein coupled receptors.
