I work as a project leader in in vitro pharmacology in HCS Pharma (France). In this company, we have developed BIOMIMESYS®, a disruptive technology for cell culture. This is the first 3D cell culture system which closely reproduces both the physicochemical and the biological properties of the extracellular matrix. BIOMIMESYS® is a hyaluronic acid-based matrix, bio-functionalized with other components of the extracellular matrix. Its composition and stiffness can be adapted to each healthy or diseased organ. This matrix is ready-to-use in multi-well plates. It combines both advantages of hydrogels and solid scaffolds providing adequate support and porosity. In this way, BIOMIMESYS® reproduces all the aspects of microenvironment: matrix architecture, composition and stiffness, cell organization, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Thanks to its expertise, HCS Pharma also provides services in 3D cell culture and phenotypic screening.
