Profile of Dr Lisa Joedicke
After studying Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany and becoming familiar with protein chemistry and structural biology during her MSc project in the Sinning lab at the Biochemistry Centre Heidelberg, Lisa did her PhD in structural biology of GPCRs at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She then started her industry career at UCB in Slough, UK in 2016 where she was responsible for producing and characterising membrane proteins for structural biology and antibody discovery. Since 2020, she is a group leader in lead discovery at Roche in Basel, Switzerland and her team supports small molecule discovery efforts by generating protein reagents for biochemical and biophysical assays as well as structural characterisation by X-ray crystallography, NMR and cryo-EM.
