Presentations at Label-free Mass Spectrometry Assays for Early Drug Discovery

Profile of Dr Sandra Schulz

I graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen (Germany) with a B.Sc. in Technical and Applied Biology in 2008. From 2007 till 2009, I worked in the company Laboratorios Cryopharma in Mexico in the department of pharmaceutical development developing galenic formulations and analytical methods for solid oral dosage forms. Afterwards, I continued with a Master degree in Biotechnology (focus Biomedical Science and Technology) at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and completed my thesis at Cellzome, a GSK company, in Heidelberg (Germany) in the department of Assay Development. In 2016, I obtained my Ph.D. degree from Heidelberg University (Germany) in Carsten Hopf´s research group in the field of mass spectrometry imaging in drug discovery focussing on distribution studies of small molecule compounds in human and animal tissue. I later moved on to the field of MALDI TOF mass spectrometry cell assays in the Hopf lab (CeMOS) working as a team leader for the development of drug screening assays. I am currently a project manager of the research consortium M2Aind in Mannheim (Germany) and active in teaching in practical lab courses at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences.
