Nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) hydrogels derived from the Birch tree have been shown to have good biocompatibility and to provide an effective support matrix for culturing various cell types and explants in 3D. Our vision for regenerative medicine is to provide a carrier for the cells from the pathology through the manufacturing all the way to the cell therapy for a patient.
