Dr Sun Yung

Sun’s scientific interest began with a Bachelor’s in Genetics, followed by a Master’s in Bioinformatics, before being seduced by the power and therapeutic potential of pluripotent stem cell biology whilst working as a lab technician. This promptly led to a PhD investigating key transcriptomic regulators that drive pluripotent stem cell differentiation, and this research continued with a post docs in Valencia, Newcastle, and Cardiff. Assay development and optimisation projects using Six Sigma and DOE methods at GE Healthcare further added to the life science tool box, before stepping out into the commercial world of scientific sales with IntelliCyt as a field application scientist and working closely with researchers in multiple scientific fields and disciplines. An acquisition by Sartorius Stedim Biotech, led to application support for ViroCyt and Essen Bioscience, before joining the Nexcelom Bioscience family.
