Profile of Dr Keni Vidilaseris
He is a researcher working on membrane protein characterization and structure determination at the University of Helsinki, Finland in the lab of Prof. Adrian Goldman. He received his Ph.D. in 2014 from Max F. Perutz Laboratories, University of Vienna, Austria, with a scholarship from ASEAN-European Academic University Network on the BILBO1 protein from T. brucei. In 2017, He received a postdoctoral research grant from the Academy of Finland. He studies the membrane-bound pyrophosphatases and other acidocalcisomal proteins from protist parasites causing diseases, such as plasmodium, trypanosoma, and leishmania, as potential drug targets.
