Profile of Dr Laura Dickens
Laura joined the Medical Research Council (MRC) as Associate Director of Industry Partnerships in February 2020. Laura’s role at MRC is focused on engagement with industry and the development of partnerships to help achieve MRC’s mission to improve human health through world class research and innovation. Prior to her role at MRC, Laura spent 7 years working at Cancer Research Technology (now Cancer Research UK Commercial Partnerships) where she worked on a variety of projects related to the identification and development of commercial opportunities and establishment of research collaborations between industry and academia, such as the immuno-oncology alliance between Cancer Research UK, LifeArc and Ono Pharmaceutical Co. Laura has a first class BSc(Hons) degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Manchester and a PhD from the University of Leicester.
