Profile of Dr James Robinson
James Robinson studied for his PhD at University College London, investigating mechanisms of GPCR signalling and regulation, before undertaking a postdoc at The Scripps Research Institute, focussed on mechanistic pharmacology of the Orexin-1 Receptor. He joined AstraZeneca’s Cellular Assay Development team in 2015 and was appointed as a Team Leader in the Mechanistic Biology and Profiling department in 2019, where he is now a Director of Pharmacology. James’ group delivers high quality profiling data and deep mechanistic understanding to drive a variety of early drug discovery projects. James is on the organising committee for “ELRIG Advances in Cell-Based Screening for Drug Discovery 2022”.
