Dr Marta Stebbeds

Marta received a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Algarve University in Portugal and her MSc in Molecular Medicine from Cranfield University. She then carried out her PhD work at Anglia Ruskin University where she used molecular biology approaches to study the role of myofibroblasts differentiation in fibrosis. After finishing her PhD, Marta joined Charles River Laboratories in July 2016 in the Biology department. Since then, Marta has acquired a broad knowledge of assay development and screening techniques with a focus on Huntington’s Disease, and has led several projects in this space.
