Profile of Miss Lianne Van Beek
With a Ph.D in Immunometabolism from the Leiden University Medical Center, Dr. van Beek started her career at the Charles River Discovery Leiden facility as a Scientist in 2015. Her current position as Senior Scientist focuses on drug discovery for a wide range of Clients, supporting them with large screens, including full genome siRNA and compound screens in complex cell-based assays (e.g. human embryonic stem cells and primary patient cells). The expertise Dr. van Beek has built up over the years in high throughput screening and high content analysis, is brought together in developing relevant and robust assays that can support programs from target identification towards target validation. Together with her understanding of complex biology, she has made a significant impact on different programs focusing on neurodegenerative diseases, like Huntington’s disease and ALS.
