Profile of Prof Adrian Goldman
Adrian Goldman is currently a professor at the University of Helsinki, a visiting professor at the University of Leeds (Chair in Structural Biology, 2013-2020) and a lecture professor at Nankai University. His interests are focussed on the structure and function of proteins at or close to the membrane surface, including pyrophosphatases, transporters, and proteins involved in bacterial adhesion. Recent highlights include the first structures of bacterial integral membrane pyrophosphatases, asymmetric structures of these enzymes, and structures explaining bending in trimeric autotransporter adhesins.
