Profile of Vincent Dion
Vincent Dion obtained his PhD from Baylor College of Medicine (USA), under the supervision of John H. Wilson, for his work on the mechanisms of CAG/CTG repeat expansion. As a postdoc with Susan M. Gasser at the Friedrich Miescher Institute (Switzerland), he worked on the role of chromatin remodeling in DNA repair. He started his lab at the Center for Integrative Genomics of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) in 2013 and moved to the UK Dementia Research Institute at Cardiff University in 2019. His lab is making key contributions towards the development of gene editing approaches for expanded repeat disorders.
