Abstract

Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD) provides a whole solution for today’s biological and chemical data needs, differentiated by ease-of-use and superior collaborative capabilities. Efforts to develop new drugs to treat neglected tropical diseases are limited and therefore rely on collaborations between academic and industrial institutions. The need to share up to date information and data is pertinent for these types of collaborations. CDD Vault®, a cloud-based software, includes Activity & Registration, Visualization, Inventory, and ELN capabilities. Researchers can archive, mine, and securely collaborate within CDD Vault. Collaborative hypothesis generation and evaluation allow multiple perspectives for multi-parameter optimization.

CDD’s Research Informatics Group invents bleeding edge technologies with scientists in mind. For example, the recently developed BioHarmony data store provides real-time semantic drug reports online at www.biometadata.com. In addition, BioHarmony Annotator allows more sophisticated assay registration and management. These tools, including CDD Vault, streamline the drug discovery process, and a real world example will be shown.
